India has become a top destination for global medical travelers, thanks to high-quality healthcare, affordable costs, and government support through the Medical Visa (e-Medical Visa) facility. At Ahmed Hospitality Tourism, we provide complete assistance with the medical visa process — from documentation to approval — ensuring a stress-free experience for patients and their attendants.
Key Benefits of Indian Medical Visa
-
Visa-on-Arrival is available for selected countries, allowing patients to stay for up to 60 days for treatment.
-
Patients can be accompanied by two medical attendants, each requiring a separate e-Medical Attendant Visa.
-
The validity of the attendant’s visa will match that of the patient’s medical visa.
General Guidelines for e-Medical Visa
Before applying, ensure you follow these important instructions:
-
Fill out the e-visa application form accurately. The patient is responsible for all provided information.
-
Keep all required documents ready, including:
-
Front-facing passport-size photo on a white background
-
Scanned copy of passport’s first page
-
Hospital invitation letter stating the treatment and expected date
-
-
All documents must be in English to avoid rejection.
-
Apply at least 4 days before arrival, with a window of 120 days for scheduling your travel.
-
Pay the e-Visa fee 4 days before your travel date to avoid delays. Note: The fee is non-refundable and country-specific, with an additional 2.5% transaction charge.
Important Notes on e-Medical Visa
-
The visa is non-convertible and non-extendable.
-
ETA (Electronic Travel Authorization) must show the status as “GRANTED”. Carry a copy while traveling.
-
Biometric data will be collected at immigration on arrival.

Applicants should travel using the same passport used in the application.
